MANATEE RAPE CRISIS (Manatee Glens)
Manatee Glens' Rape Crisis Program utilizes professional and volunteer staff to provide the following services: crisis counseling to help a survivor deal with emotional, financial and physical aftermath of victimization; criminal justice advocacy/accompaniment to legal proceedings, including post-sentencing assistance with inmate release; follow-up accompaniment for medical examinations; assistance in preparing Victim Compensation claims; and provides support groups for sharing concerns relating to assault.

MANATEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - VICTIM ADVOCATE UNIT
The Victim Advocate Unit of the Manatee County Sheriff's Office offers crisis intervention to victims and family members at the time of a crime. They provide emotional support and referrals to social service agencies within the community. The advocate can provide information regarding the stages of the criminal justice process and is available for accompaniment to investigations, depositions, hearings, trials, sentencing and parole hearings. The advocate may provide assistance in filling out forms for Victim Compensation, domestic injunctions for protection, and injunctions for protection against repeat violence.

SARASOTA POLICE DEPARTMENT VICTIMS' SERVICE PROGRAM

The Victims’ Service personnel at the Sarasota Police Department offer assistance to any victim of a criminal act committed within the city limits of Sarasota. Assistance includes support and guidance at the time of the initial incident and throughout the criminal justice process; attend and transport victim to various court proceedings and to crime related medical/dental appointments . Assistance also includes help with Victim Compensation claims and referral for other community services

SARASOTA SHERIFF’S OFFICE - VICTIMS’ ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Victims’ Assistance Program of the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office provides assistance to anyone who has been the victim of a reported crime in Sarasota County. If the victim assistant is unable to meet all necessary needs, referral may be made to a community service agency for additional help. The staff will provide support to victims and their families throughout the criminal justice process and assist with Victim Compensation claims.

SPARCC (Safe Place & Rape Crisis Center)  
A private, non-profit agency, that provides services to victims of domestic violence and rape in Sarasota County. Among other things, services include a 24 hour hotline for crisis interventions, a secretly located shelter home for battered women and their minor children, counseling, a program for children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence, and an educational/therapeutic program for people who batter.
